No. Gentle Horizons is not a facility. We are a Florida-licensed nurse registry that connects families with independent nurses and caregivers for care in the comfort of their own homes or preferred setting.

 Yes. Most visits require a minimum of 2–4 hours, depending on the type of care. We also offer flexible scheduling, from short visits to 24/7 support. 

Absolutely. Our nurses and caregivers are available 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Care is arranged based on your schedule and needs.

Yes. Every nurse and caregiver in our registry is carefully screened, license-verified, insured, and background-checked to ensure safety and peace of mind for our clients.

No. While many seniors benefit from our services, Gentle Horizons provides care for people of all ages—including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

A doctor’s order is required for skilled nursing treatments such as wound care, IV therapy, or medication administration. However, services like nurse assessments, companionship, and caregiver support do not require a doctor’s authorization.

 Gentle Horizons is private pay. However, many long-term care insurance plans may reimburse you for our services. We’re happy to provide documentation to assist with reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm eligibility

Costs vary based on the hours needed, the nurse’s licensure (RN, LPN, or caregiver), and the type of service. We’ll provide a personalized estimate during your consultation.

Both provide essential nursing care, but their scope of practice differs:

• Registered Nurses (RNs): Provide a higher level of skilled medical care, including assessments, care planning, IV therapy, and complex clinical procedures.

• Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs): Provide essential nursing support such as wound care, medication administration, and monitoring under the supervision of an RN or physician.
